World Beer Awards: Alcohol Free Edinburgh Brewery Wins Award for World's Best Alcohol Free Lager

Scottish brewery, Jump Ship Brewing was awarded “World’s Best Alcohol Free Lager” for their Yardarm at the World Beer Awards last week.

About Jump Ship Brewing

Jump Ship Brewing was started by Sonja - a passionate sailor, who has explored various corners of the world, which allowed her to pursue a lifelong ambition of tasting as many amazing beers as possible.

Her life got busier, with three children, a dog and a busy job. The busy change in her life meant she struggled to find alcohol free beer alterative for the days when she wanted a full-flavoured, refreshing beer, without the alcohol and fuzzy head.

As Sonja put it, she decided to ‘jump ship’ from her day job, and set off on a voyage of discovery, to help more people enjoy great tasting alcohol free beer. Upon her travels, she found like-minded people, dedicated to brewing world-class alcohol free beers.

Sonja has decided to commit at least 10% of profits to charity. She has also chosen cans for their alcohol free beers, which is lighter to transport, thus reducing carbon emissions. The grain that is left after brewing the beer goes to a farmer, to feed his cattle.

Jump Ship Brewing Yardarm

The alcohol free beer named Yardarm, is a crisp and lively lager, with a perfect balance of biscuity malt and citrus hops. It’s brewed in small batches, gluten-free, vegan friendly, and contains only 40 calories per can!

You can get your hands on Yardarm here. As well as many more alcohol free beer and non alcoholic beer.
