What to drink this Christmas

What to drink this Christmas

Eggnog or Mulled Wine comes to mind when we think of Christmas…or a Gingerbread Latte from Starbucks. But on that special day with family, friends, good food, presents filled with more underwear and Die Hard on the telly, it is also good to take in the ambience with a glass - or bottle - of your favourite drink.

So, as Christmas approaches I have chosen five drinks that I believe will suit you guys which can ‘spice up’ that special day.

Pimento Ginger & Chilli Beer

For my first drink, I have chosen Pimento Ginger & Chilli Beer. Now, I never imagined that there would be an alcohol-free beer made from Ginger and Chilli, so I was definitely expecting something quite special with this drink - and I was right.

Ginger + Chilli = Whoa! Plus eyes bulging with astonishment. The hot and spicy kick from these two fused together will, indeed, warm up your body and would serve well for that long walk back home on a cold, winter evening.

Square Root London Citrus Pale Shandy

A shandy is quite popular for those who like to ‘take it easy’ or for the designated drivers. So for my second drink, I have chosen Square Root London Citrus Pale Shandy. This alcohol-free shandy overshadows the common lemonade and beer shandy with its fruity flavours, citric aroma, refreshing taste and label artwork of cats for you cat lovers out there.

Teetotal G ’n’ T

My third drink is Teetotal G ’n’ T. It comes in a 200ml bottle, pre-mixed and can easily be mistaken for an alcoholic G ’n’ T because of how well it has been made to exactly taste and smell like one with similar ingredients. So for those who do enjoy a G ’n’ T on Christmas (I’ve saved a few bottles for you, dad), I recommend giving this non-alcoholic G ’n’ T a go and have plenty more ready for friends and family who will ask for more.

Mikkeller Drink’in The Snow

I’ve gone for a winter ale for my fourth drink that goes by the name of Mikkeller Drink’in The Snow. This alcohol-free spiced ale brimming with orange peel and coriander seed flavours gives it that Christmas-y feel as you sip away.

Scavi & Ray Alcohol Free Prosecco

For my final drink, it will be a non-alcoholic sparkling white wine called Scavi & Ray Alcohol Free Prosecco. Every table needs a sparkling white wine on Christmas Day and on New Years Eve, to either say thank-you to that one person who served you a fantastic Christmas dinner or to celebrate the coming of the new year.
